Vietnamese national passengers under 14 years old taking domestic flights need to carry one of the following documents: - Minor passport or child included passport; - Birth Certificate; - Birth document (infants under one 01 month old); - Certifying document by a social organization for children under the patronage of that organization This certifying document shall be valid within 6 months from the date of confirmation.
The travel document conditions: - To be the originals and still valid; - Birth certificate and the birth document must be the originals or notarized copies according to legal regulations; - Documents without a portrait picture or not in line with legal regulations are not accepted, except birth certificates, birth documents, or escort documents issued by a recognized authority.
Vietnamese national passengers 14 years old or older taking domestic flights need to carry one of the following documents or validity-equivalent electronic data:
When the infants do not have a passport, their full names, date of birth, and stamped portrait picture should be in the travel document of the legitimate representative including: biological father, biological mother, foster father, foster mother or guardian. Please find details here.
Foreign nationals are required to carry one of the following documents when taking a domestic flight of Vietnam Airlines: - National passport travel pass, loose-leaf visa; - Permanent residence card, temporary residence card; - Identity cards issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs to members of diplomatic missions, consular agencies, and representatives of international organizations; - International driver’s license or driver’s license issued by a Vietnamese competent agency; - Aviation Security control card (long – term validity); - Vietnamese airlines identity card.
In case of passport loss, a diplomatic note certifying personal identification and passport loss with portrait pictures and stamp is required Diplomatic note or certification document should be valid within 30 days from the date of issue. Please find details here.
