What is the bonus miles transfer?

Lotusmiles members can transfer bonus miles from their accounts to other accounts with a few simple actions. Please be aware that:

• Transferred bonus miles are only valid for earning awards, not for card tier qualification;
• Transferred bonus miles are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Charges for transferring bonus miles

Bonus miles are transferred in packages of 1,000 miles:

• Pricing in Vietnam (VAT exclusive): VND 210,000/1,000 miles.
• Pricing outside Vietnam: USD 10/1,000 miles.

Instructions for transferring bonus miles

There are 3 ways to transfer bonus miles: Performing on the Vietnam Airlines website, app, or directly at branches.

Transfer bonus miles on the Vietnam Airlines website

Step 1: Access your Lotusmiles account from the top toolbar on the right side of the website vietnamairlines.com.

Step 2: After successfully logging in, navigate to "Buy/Transfer Bonus Miles".

Step 3: In the "Buy and Transfer Miles" window, click "Transfer Bonus Miles".

 

Step 4: In the "Transfer Bonus Miles" window, enter the recipient's membership card number and click "Continue".

Step 5:

• The system defaults to displaying the smallest plan of 1,000 miles, and press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check the unit price, apply a promotion code (if applicable), and the total amount to be paid;
• Read the terms and conditions and check the box "I agree to the terms and conditions";
• Select an appropriate payment method and proceed with payment.

Step 6: After the payment is completed, an information confirmation will be emailed to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact the Lotusmiles support section using the below channels:

Transfer bonus miles on the Vietnam Airlines app

Step 1: To access your Lotusmiles account on the Vietnam Airlines app, select "Login" in the top right corner or "Lotusmiles" from the toolbar at the bottom.

Step 2: After successfully logging in, scroll down to “Buy/Transfer miles” and select “Transfer Bonus Miles”. The system will display the registered email address and phone number, check the information, make any necessary changes, and then click "Continue".

Step 3: In the "Transfer Bonus Miles" window, enter the recipient's membership card number, then click “Confirm” and "Continue".

Step 4: In the “Transfer Bonus Miles” windows:

• The system defaults to displaying the smallest plan of 1,000 miles, and press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check the unit price, sub-total, and grand total to be paid;
• Read the terms and conditions, then select “I agree”.

Step 5:

• The system will request you to confirm the transaction and send a verification code to the registered phone number/email address;
• After verification, check the amount, select the appropriate payment option, and proceed with payment.

Step 6: After the payment is completed, an information confirmation will be emailed to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact the Lotusmiles support section using the below channels:

Transfer bonus miles directly at Vietnam Airlines branches

Step 1: Fill out the Bonus Miles Transfer Request form signed by both the mile transferor and the mile recipient.

Step 2: 

• Submit the completed form and make payment at any Vietnam Airlines branch. 
• When making payment, the transferor and recipient must present their membership card and travel documents (original ID/passport). 
• The transferred bonus miles will be credited to the recipient’s account.
