Your health and safety are always our top priorities. From check-in to baggage claim area, you will experience Vietnam Airlines’ new standards of safety. New service standards are frequently updated, following guidelines from Vietnam’s authorities such as the Ministry of Health, the Civil Aviation Administration as well as the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and SkyTeam Alliance's Skycare&Protect.
NEW SERVICE – NEW STANDARDS IT’S ALL ABOUT YOUR SAFE FLIGHT
BEFORE YOU GO
To ensure the highest level of safety for passengers, Vietnam Airlines sprays and sanitizes our entire fleet of aircraft and our equipment with disinfectants upon landing. The disinfection is performed in all passenger’ cabins, cockpits, galley areas, and especially frequently touched surfaces like overhead compartments, armrests, headphones, buttons, and so forth. Apart from disinfecting aircraft after each flight, at the end of the day, Vietnam airlines also sprays disinfectants on all aircraft operated within the day once more and let the disinfectant soak overnight to maximize its effect. The disinfectant Disinfection Spraying Solution CH2200 and Netbiokem DSAM are being used in accordance with the regulations and standards established by functional medical units and aircraft manufacturers, which pose no adverse health risks to passengers.
Moreover, we highly recommend all passengers follow safety protocols as follows:
COMPLETE A HEATH DECLARATION
According to the Civil Aviation Administration’s requirement, all passengers are required to do health declaration before flights following Ministry of Health’s guidelines. The procedure is simple, fill your information at http://tokhaiyte.vn or “Vietnam Health Declaration” Mobile App.
WEARING FACE MASKS
As required by the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, all passengers must wear face masks at the airport and throughout the flight. Passengers must bring their own face masks. It is highly recommended to prepare a back-up one.

CONTINUOUS CLEANING

MEDICAL PROTECTIVE SUITS
For flights with a high risk of infection, all passengers and crew members are provided with medical protective suits.
CONFIRM YOU’RE HEALTHY TO FLY
According to the Civil Aviation Administration and Vietnam Airlines, all passengers must do temperature checks before flights. A person with a temperature of 37.5 °C or higher or having the following symptoms: dry cough, shortness of breath, sickness… are not allowed to travel.

HAND SANITIZER STATIONS
Hand sanitizer dispensers are placed near high-traffic and high-touch locations such as entrance, check in counter, shower room and restroom.
FOOD AND DRINK SERVICE
ON BOARD
ANTI-BACTERIA HAND WIPES
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Vietnam Airlines provides well-prepared meals, fruits and bottled mineral water. For Business Class passengers, fresh fruit juice will be served to build up resistance.
ENTERTAINMENT
INTENSIVE CLEANING
Anti-bacterial soap is always available in the lavatory. Lavatories are cleaned before and during the flight with additional wipe down procedures by our cabin crew.
AIR FILTERATION
To ensure onboard air quality and hygiene, Vietnam Airlines' aircraft are equipped with HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters, which minimizes the risk of airborne bacteria and viruses on flights. HEPA filters remove up to 99.99% of particles such as dust, pollen, human skin cells, bacterium, and viruses with a minimum size of 0.001 micrometers. The air in the cabin is renewed continuously every three minutes. Air flows are designed to enter the cabin vertically, from top to bottom, and circulate horizontally, which contributes to preventing the spread of pollutants along the cabin. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), HEPA filters equipped in aircraft operate similarly to air filtration systems in surgical operating rooms.
OTHERS
Publication, blankets and pet on board services are temporarily discontinued in order to reduce risk of infection.
