What is the purchase of bonus miles?

Lotusmiles members desire to use miles to earn awards, but the accumulated miles in the account are not enough? To compensate for the mile insufficiency, members can purchase bonus miles from the Lotusmiles program. Please be aware of the following information:

• The purchased bonus miles are only valid for earning awards and non-refundable under any circumstances;
• Purchased bonus miles are not eligible for card tier qualification;
• Bonus mile validity is subject to the terms and conditions of the Lotusmiles program.

Charges for bonus mile purchases

Bonus miles are sold in plans of 1,000 miles:

• Pricing in Vietnam (VAT exclusive): VND 550,000/1,000 miles
• Pricing outside Vietnam: USD 25/1,000 miles

Instructions for purchasing bonus miles

There are 3 ways to buy bonus miles: Purchases can be made through the Vietnam Airlines website, the Vietnam Airlines app, or directly at branches.

Purchase bonus miles on the website

Step 1: Access your Lotusmiles account from the top toolbar on the right side of the website vietnamairlines.com.

Step 2: After logging in, go to "Buy And Transfer".

Step 3: In the "Buy and Transfer Miles" window, click "Buy Bonus Miles". 

Step 4: In the "Buy Bonus Miles" window:

• The system defaults to displaying the smallest plan of 1,000 miles, and press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check the unit price, apply a promotion code (if applicable), and the total amount to be paid;
• Read the terms and conditions and check the box "I agree to the terms and conditions";
• Select an appropriate payment method and proceed with payment.

Step 5: After the payment is completed, an information confirmation will be emailed to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact the Lotusmiles support section using the below channels:

Purchase bonus miles on Vietnam Airlines app

Step 1: To access your Lotusmiles account on the Vietnam Airlines app, select "Login" in the top right corner or "Lotusmiles" from the toolbar at the bottom.

Step 2: After successfully logging in, scroll down to “Buy/Transfer miles” and select “Buy Bonus Miles”. The system will display the registered email for receiving an electronic invoice, check the information, make any necessary changes, and then click "Continue".

Step 3: In the “Buy Bonus Miles” windows:

• The system defaults to displaying the smallest plan of 1,000 miles, and press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check the unit price, sub-total, and grand total to be paid;
• Read the terms and conditions, then click "I agree" to proceed to checkout.

Step 4: Select an appropriate payment method and proceed with payment.

Step 5: After the payment is completed, confirmation information will be emailed to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact us using the below channels:

Buy bonus miles at Vietnam Airlines branches

Step 1: Fill in the Purchase Request for Bonus Miles Form.

Step 2: Submit the completed form and make payment at any Vietnam Airlines branch. The purchased bonus miles will be credited to your account.
