What is the expired bonus mile reinstatement?

Lotusmiles members desire to use miles to earn awards, but the bonus miles have expired? Within 06 months from the expiration date, members can reinstate bonus miles from the Golden Lotus program. Please be aware that:

• Reinstated miles are valid for 06 months from the date of the successful transaction and are usable until the last day of the 6th month;
• The reinstated miles are not valid for card-tier qualification and are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Charges for reinstating the expired bonus miles

Bonus miles are reinstated in plans of 500 miles:

• Pricing in Vietnam (VAT exclusive): VND 100,000/500 miles
• Pricing outside Vietnam: USD 5/500 miles

Instructions for reinstating expired bonus miles

There are 3 ways to reinstate bonus miles: Performing on the Vietnam Airlines website, app, or directly at branches.

Reinstate expired bonus miles on the Vietnam Airlines website

Step 1: Access your Lotusmiles account from the top toolbar on the right side of the website vietnamairlines.com.

Step 2: After successfully logging in, navigate to "Buy/Transfer Bonus Miles".

Step 3: In the "Buy and Transfer Miles" window, click "Reinstate Expired Bonus Miles".

Step 4: In the “Reinstate Expired Miles” windows:

• The system defaults to displaying the smallest plan of 500 miles, and press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check the unit price, apply a promotion code (if applicable), and the total amount to be paid;
• Read the terms and conditions and check the box "I agree to the terms and conditions";
• Select an appropriate payment method and proceed with payment.

Step 5: After the payment is completed, an information confirmation will be emailed to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact the Lotusmiles support section using the below channels:

Reinstate expired bonus miles on the Vietnam Airlines app

Step 1: Access your Lotusmiles account on the Vietnam Airlines app in the “Login” or “Lotusmiles” section.

Step 2: After successfully logging in, scroll down to “Buy/Transfer miles” and select “Reinstate Expired Bonus Miles”. The system will display the registered email for receiving an electronic invoice, check the information, make any necessary changes, and then click "Continue".

Step 3: In the “Reinstate Expired Bonus Miles” windows:

• The system defaults to displaying the smallest plan of 500 miles, and press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check the unit price, sub-total, and grand total to be paid;
• Read the terms and conditions, then click "I agree" to proceed to checkout.

Step 4: Select an appropriate payment method and proceed with payment.

Step 5: After the payment is completed, an information confirmation will be emailed to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact the Lotusmiles support section using the below channels:
