Cigarettes

• For international flights: passengers should learn about the regulations of cigarettes carrying to the destination country.
• For domestic flights: Vietnam Airlines does not restrict cigarettes in carry-on/checked baggage as long as they satisfy the regulations on weight, size and number of pieces of carry-on/checked baggage.

Electronic cigarettes

Vietnam Airlines does not accept to check in portable electronic devices containing batteries for smoking, such as electronic cigarettes, electronic cigars, electronic pipes or other types of personal gas-generating equipment. Please carry these items in your carry-on baggage provided that:

• For personal use only.
• These devices and batteries are not permitted to be charged or used during the flight.
• Removable batteries are only allowed in carry-on baggage and must be separately protected to prevent activation during transport. The batteries must be repackaged and stored separately in cases/bags, or their terminals must be insulated.
• In case of Lithium metal batteries, each battery contains no more than 2g of Lithium. For Lithium-ion batteries, each battery should have capacity no more than 100Wh.
• Before the flight, passengers should contact Vietnam Airlines to learn about the specific regulations on e-cigarettes.
