Guidelines for redeeming award tickets

Instructions to Redeem Award Tickets on Vietnam Airlines website

Step 1: Check miles for awards

Members’ accrued miles will be deducted here, or members can use the mile lookup tool in Redeeming miles for award tickets. There, members can select “Carrier”, “Departure Date”, “From”, “To” then click “Calculate”. The system will display the itinerary and equivalent miles.

Step 2: Login to the member account

Members visit vietnamairlines.com home page, select “Log-in” section at the top right corner, enter the member number and password, and click Login.

Step 3: Redeem miles

At the “Account Information” screen, select Redeem Miles.

At “Redeem online”, select “Book award flights”.

Step 4: Select an itinerary and make a booking

Members select From, To, Departure date, Returning date, and number of passengers, then click “Find Flight”.

The system will display the fare details in mileage. Members proceed to select a suitable ticket class and itinerary. After completing selection, click “Purchase”.

Notes:

• The number of miles used should be less than or equal to the current mile balance. In case of mile insufficiency, members may exit, go to “Buy bonus miles” to buy miles, then restart from step 2 to complete the award ticket.
• Accrued miles are not used to pay for taxes, fees and surcharges.

After completion, check your information so that Vietnam Airlines can contact you and send an e-ticket.

Step 5: Payment

At the “Payment” screen, members can check the itinerary information, the deducted miles and the remaining amount, the select the appropriate payment method, and then click “Purchase”.

Step 6: Booking confirmation

After the payment is completed, a confirmation of the itinerary and flight ticket information will be displayed on your screen as well as sent to your registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact Lotusmiles support section using the below information.

Instructions to Redeem Award Tickets on Vietnam Airlines app

Step 1: Login to the member account

On the app, at Lotusmiles, fill in your member account number and password. Scroll down to “Awards” and select “Book Award Flights”.

Step 2: Redeem miles

Members can select From, To, Departure date, Returning date, number of passengers and click “Search Flights”. The system will display the fare details in mileage. Members can proceed with selecting the appropriate ticket class, itinerary, and extra services. After completing selection, click “Purchase”.

Notes:

• The number of miles used should be less than or equal to the current mile balance. In case of mile insufficiency, members may buy bonus miles, then restart from step 2 to complete obtaining the award ticket.
• Accrued miles are not used to pay for taxes, fees and surcharges.

Upon completion, members can check the booking details, personal information, and contact information so that Vietnam Airlines can contact and send the e-ticket.

Step 3: Payment

At the “Payment” screen, members can check the itinerary information, the deducted accrued miles and the remaining amount, the select the appropriate payment method, then click “Purchase”.

Step 4: Booking confirmation

After the payment is completed, a confirmation of the itinerary and flight ticket information will be displayed on your screen as well as sent to your registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact Lotusmiles support section using the below information.

Instructions to Redeem Award Tickets via Email

Step 1: Members send requests for awards to the following email addresses: vip.lotusmiles@vietnamairlines.com (Million Milers, Platinum, Gold members); or lotusmiles@vietnamairlines.com (Titanium, Silver, registered members).

The request should include:

• Airline award redemption request;
• Nominee List (applying to Million Milers, Platinum, Gold and Titanium members getting awards for family members);
• Copy of the member’s travel documents (ID/Passport).

Step 2: An award voucher will be sent to the member’s registered email; please contact Vietnam Airlines if no information is received.

Step 3: Members should contact Vietnam Airlines branch offices to pay the taxes and fees (if required) and get the award tickets issued. Please bring along: ID/passport and member card (original).
