VIETNAM AIRLINES MOVES TO CHANGI AIRPORT’S TERMINAL 4

Hanoi, October 9th 2017- Vietnam’s flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines has announced  that from 7 November, 2017 it will transfer its operations to the new terminal  4 at Changi International Airport, Singapore.

This change of terminal will allow for greater passenger convenience through use of the new terminals innovative design and technology. Within T4 Vietnam Airlines will operate 10 check-in counters from 1 to 10 and will have use of desks 11 to 14 in case of increasing demand for passenger services. Vietnam Airlines will offer start-to-end self-service options for check-in and other time saving processes while simultaneously maintaining the traditional form of these services.  

Changi Airport is rated among the world’s best airports, and is a major hub for air traffic in Southeast Asia. T4 is scheduled to open on October 31, 2017, having a total floor area of 225,000sq metres and will be able to handle up 16 million passengers per year. The upcoming T4 is promising passengers an unique interior and improved travel experience with the extensive use of technology, systems and procedures, including facial recognition software ensuring fast and Seamless Travel that will redefine the passenger travel experience and enhances efficiency and productivity.

The Business lounge will be located on the second floor of T4, with an area of more than 1,000sq.m. It will serve Gold and Platinum LotuSmiles’s members and Business Class passengers of Vietnam Airlines as well as other airlines flying in to T4.

The transfer to T4 greatly contributes to Vietnam Airlines’ improved standards in accordance with SkyTrax’s 4 star quality rating therefore offering a more outstanding experience for passengers. Along with Vietnam Airlines, the AirAsia Group (which comprises four airlines), Cathay Pacific Airways, Cebu Pacific Air, Korean Air and Spring–will operate from the new terminal.
