Before departure, passengers need to fully prepare the necessary documents required for flying from Vietnam to international destinations, such as air tickets, valid passports, and forms of identification. In addition, passengers flying from Vietnam to China should be aware of the following document requirements.
According to regulations, passenger passports must be valid for 6 months from the expected date of entry into China and have 2 blank pages.
Vietnamese citizens need a valid visa to enter China. Tourist visas are denoted by “L”. Individual travelers can apply for a single-entry (valid for 3 months), double-entry (valid for 3 to 6 months), or multiple-entry (valid for 6 months or 1 year) tourist visa based on their requirements. The entry form will be distributed and filled out during the flight or at the arrival airport.
Currently, China no longer requires vaccination proof. Accordingly, passengers traveling in China are not required to take a Covid-19 test or provide proof of immunization.
According to regulations, if you enter China with cash worth USD 5,000 (or RMB 20,000) or more, you must disclose it to customs.
