From Vietnam to the Philippines

Before departure, passengers need to fully prepare the necessary documents required for flying from Vietnam to international destinations, such as air tickets, valid passports, and forms of identification. In addition, passengers flying from Vietnam to the Philippines should be aware of the following document requirements.

Passport

Passenger passports must be valid for 6 months from the expected date of entry into the Philippines.

Visa

Vietnamese citizens are exempt from visa requirements to enter the Philippines for stays of no more than 21 days, provided they have a return or connecting ticket from the Philippines to a third country and a passport valid for at least six months from the expected date of departure.

eTravel Card

Passengers must declare personal and medical information on the eTravel Card within 72 hours before entry and then present the QR code to customs at the arrival airport.

Quarantine regulations

Currently, the Philippines no longer requires vaccination proof. Accordingly, passengers traveling in the Philippines are not required to take a COVID-19 test or provide proof of immunization.

Cash regulations

According to regulations, passengers who bring cash worth PHP 50,000 (or USD 10,000) or more into the Philippines must declare it to customs.

Pet regulations

Passengers planning to fly with pets to the Philippines should be aware of the following:

  • Import permits are issued by the Philippine Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI); visit the DA - Pet Animal Importation Importer Registration;
  • Health certificates are issued by licensed veterinarians in the country of departure within 30 days after arrival in the Philippines;
  • Dogs and cats must be identified with an ISO-compliant microchip or RFID.

Passengers who fail to properly comply with the foregoing regulations may have their dogs quarantined upon entry into the Philippines.
