From Vietnam to South Korea

Before departure, passengers need to fully prepare the necessary documents required for flying from Vietnam to international destinations, such as air tickets, valid passports, and forms of identification. In addition, passengers flying from Vietnam to South Korea should be aware of the following document requirements.


Visa

South Korean Transit Visa

Tourists from Vietnam, China, Mongolia, the Philippines, India, Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Armenia, and so on transiting through South Korea to a third country do not require a visa as long as their stay does not exceed 30 days.

This regulation does not apply to citizens of 24 countries, including Syria, Sudan, Iran, Cuba, Kosovo, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Ghana, Yemen, Gambia, Senegal, Bangladesh, Krizik, Pakistan, Somalia, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Cameroon, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Egypt, and passengers who have broken Korean immigration laws.

South Korean Entry Visa

South Korea classifies visas into several types based on the purpose and length of passenger stay; visit the Types of Entry Visas website to find the appropriate visa information.

The most popular type is the C-3 short-term tourist visa, which allows travelers to South Korea for tourism, sightseeing, conferences, seminars, and other purposes with a maximum stay of 30 days or 90 days during a 12-month period. The arrival card will be distributed and filled out during the flight or at the arrival airport.


Quarantine regulations

Currently, passengers transiting or entering South Korea do not require a Covid-19 test or proof of immunization.


Cash regulations

According to regulations, passengers can bring up to USD 10,000 in cash into South Korea without declaring it. Passengers carrying more than the above amount of cash must declare it to customs upon entry.
